Service Alert: Reinstall App for Facebook Social Media Archving

Social Media Archiving Users most likely received an alert to reinstall application.  This is due to an update on the Facebook platform that affects 3rd party applications.  Please follow the instructions you receive to reinstall the app and no data or content will be lost or missing from your Archive. OneSecure appreciates your patience with this issue and we are available for questions or support if needed.  These updates from time to time do affect the application for capture and archiving that runs within your Facebook profile and on the Facebook platform.  This will not effect any of the data capture process for you or your business and all content will be captured once the app is reinstalled. Please know that the notice you receive is valid and you should follow the instructions.   Action Required: You need to reinstall the application to remain in compliance. OneSecure Social Media Archiving no longer has access to your Facebook account. Please follow these steps to reinstall the OneSecure application and regain compliance:
  1. “Log Out” of any active Facebook browser session.
  2. Close all browser windows.
  3. Click here to reinstall the application.
  4. Log In to Facebook with the correct account to complete the installation.
Note: If the link above does not redirect you to the installation page, please copy and paste the following link into your web browser. Another reminder message will send in approximately 24 hours. You will receive reminders until the application installation is complete. Why did this happen? Lost access to the Facebook account could happen for the following reasons.
  • The application was uninstalled from your Facebook account.
  • The Facebook account password changed.
  • The Facebook settings for the application changed, removing permission.
  • Changes to the Facebook site caused expiration of the application’s authorization.
